Building Temperature

With the changing weather, we've received some feedback about the temperature in the Athenaeum.

'Great place to do work, but in the fall and winter, the heat seems a little too hot. I understand it's difficult to control the climate in such a big building, but maybe there is some sort of compromise. Just something to think about! Thanks!'

"Thanks for your feedback, and we know temperature zones can vary throughout the building. Because of the size of the Athenaeum and the requirements of our LEED gold certification, we aren't able to manually adjust the temperature. I'd recommend investigating study spots throughout the building, since there are some warm and cool spots, or taking the librarian route and layering - cardigans go with everything, right?" -- Liz De Coster, User Services Librarian
